GPH is an education based organization. Currently we are involved in the development of Permaculture Design* programs in Uganda.

These initiatives are within our mandate to develop programs that provide people with economic stability. By developing entrepreneurial initiatives supported by local and international companies with a vested interest in the stability and growth of East Africa we are able to train young people in the region in the practical skills of sustainable permaculture.

Currently we have established two sites for Permaculture programs partnered with local businesses. By training Ugandans to build sustainable communities utilizing the technology of today and the future, we are building bridges to prosperity.

*Permaculture is an approach to designing human settlements and agricultural systems that are modeled on the relationships found in nature. It is based on the ecology of how things interrelate rather than on the strictly biological concerns that form the foundation of modern agriculture. The aim is to create stable, productive systems that provide for human needs. It's a system of design where each element supports and feeds other elements, ultimately aiming at systems that are virtually self-‐sustaining and into which humans fit as an integral part.
